We specialise in QUALITY AND CONSERVATION FRAMING techniques We have an ART RESTORATION SERVICE for antique prints, paintings and frames whose journey to the present day has not been ideal.
You may also wish for us to assist in presenting your own unframed artworks (posters, photographs etc.) as well as OBJECT FRAMING (eg. War service and sporting medals, precious family trinkets etc.) to suit your decorative needs.

Vincenzo’s Cucina Vera is a tribute to the culinary skills and delights of my family.

As long as I can remember, I have been involved in cooking and am familiar with a kitchen. I literally grew up around food and the smells and aromas of my mother’s cooking permeate my memories of childhood.

My parents were involved in a bakery and catering and I took an interest from an early age. Since then, I have accumulated ten years of full-time experience in restaurants that specialise in Italian cuisine. I take particular interest in the southern Italian style and method of cooking, as this is where my family originates. I wish to offer traditional, regional Italian cuisine with a fresh and modern style that reflects the ambience of Unley Road and complements its unique, savvy identity.

I invite you to enjoy and delight in the aromas and flavours of my own family history.

In 1978 the first Barrow & Bench store was opened under the Big H hardware group.  Then in 1982 we joined the Mitre 10 buying group. Many extensions and upgrades were done over the years and then in 1999 we moved South down the road to 321 Unley Rd to give us more room. Also during this time a second Barrow & Bench store was opened up at 499 Portrush Road Glenunga and 2 years ago we opened up our 3rd store in the Happy Valley shopping centre which trades as a mitre10 Handy store.
